Longtime nightlife and hospitality crew SBE is back in the mix with new plans to oversee food and beverage at The James Hotel in West Hollywood. What’s more: they’re bringing James Beard-winning chef Michael Schwartz along for the ride.

The SBE subsidiary Disruptive Restaurant Group will be handling all on-site F&B components for the near-300 room James Hotel, which will include a second outpost of Schwartz’s Italian concept Fi’lia (the first is in Miami). They’ll also be partnering with Melrose Umbrella Co.’s Zachary Patterson to run cocktails for the bars.

The plan with Fi’lia is to work a menu that’s focused on Italian fare with a backbone of pastas and breads. The hotel will also have a quick-service outpost that will serve as an all-day cafe space doing coffee, pastries, and sandwiches, plus a lobby bar similar to what one might find at The Line Hotel in Koreatown. Schwartz and the Disruptive crew will be picking things up at The James Hotel sometime in January of 2017.
