It's nearly Go Get Em Tiger Los Feliz time

Here's signage for the upcoming Go Get Em Tiger in Los Feliz, which has been in the works for quite some time. The neon going in now is a sure sign that, soon enough, you'll be able to enjoy some of the city's finest coffees right next to Homestate and the also-coming McConnell's ice cream store.

Maru's big chicken night

West LA's Maru is doing it big with a $20 fried chicken night on Sunday, August 28 that sounds pretty awesome. The large meal includes half a fried bird (cooked in lard no less), plus sides and a beer or Mexican soda.

One of the La Brea corridor's best restaurants, Odys + Penelope, is (finally) launching what looks to be a pretty mean brunch. The full menu is below, with hours running 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, starting August 27.
