FYF’s food lineup is huge
Looks like Coachella isn’t the only music festival with big plans in the food department. This year’s FYF, coming up at the end of the month, will include everyone from Beer Belly to Donut Friend to Mainland Poke and the Yeastie Boys bagels crew. Thrillist has the full roster this way.
Chi Spacca’s new bar deal
Available Sunday through Thursday only, Chi Spacca’s new bar deal sounds like a steal. For $50, two guests can dine on a trio of snacky starters like affettati misti and warm salted medial dates, plus enjoy a quartino of house wine.

Maru's big chicken night
West LA's Maru is doing it big with a $20 fried chicken night on Sunday, August 28 that sounds pretty awesome. The large meal includes half a fried bird (cooked in lard no less), plus sides and a beer or Mexican soda.
Blue Bottle does Echo Park Rising
Here's the link to all the fun stuff happening at Blue Bottle Echo Park for the upcoming Echo Park Rising music festival that kicks off tomorrow. In short, it's going to be a fun, jam-filled few days.

There’s actually a lot to that process, as the LA Times notes in this piece on Tastemade in Santa Monica. It’s pretty fascinating to learn just how much structure goes into something so quickly consumable.
