One of the biggest weekends of the year for the hospitality industry is just around the corner: LA Food and Wine Festival will take over the our beloved City of Angels with events all across the city from Thursday, August 25 to Sunday, August 28. With an impressive mix of both local and global culinary talent, lovers of fine fare should want to partake in some of the weekend's festivities.
Here's a breakdown of all the highlights:
Thursday, August 25
Event: Eat The World with Emeril Lagasse
Where and When: Downtown, 7 to 10 p.m.
What: Kick it up a notch with one of the most recognized celebrity chefs in the country, Emeril Lagasse. Other notable participating chefs include Alvin Cailan, Walter Manzke, and John Tesar
Friday, August 26
Event: Lunches across LA
Where and When: Participating restaurants stretch from Downtown to Venice to Manhattan Beach, 12 to 2:30 p.m.
What: Nine restaurants pair at lest two high profile chefs for an unparalleled plated lunch experience. Think combos like Hugh Acheson and Greg Bernhardt at Paley and Jon Shook, Jeremy Fox, and Timothy Hollingsworth at Otium

Event: Eater presents Night Market
Where and When: Downtown, 7 to 10 p.m.
What: What is probably the highlight of the entire weekend, this marquee event takes over Grand Ave and 1st Street with tastings by chefs that include Jet Tila, Brian Malarkey, Pawan Mahendro, and Elizabeth Falkner
Saturday, August 27
Event: Live on Grand
Where and When: Downtown, 7 to 10 p.m.
What: Another walk around tasting experience, this one is hosted by Tyler Florence and will feature a performance by De La Soul. Chefs include Genevieve Gergis, Ori Menashe, Charles Phan, and Nguyen Tran
Sunday, August 28
Event: Lexus Grand Tasting
Where and When: Santa Monica, 12 to 3 p.m.
What: Located in the Barker Hangar, this tasting will feature 25 chefs and over 200 wines. Participating chefs include Hugh Acheson, Stephanie Izard, Antonia Lofaso, George Mendes, and Charles Phan
