Have you walked past the long, low business frontage next to the Wiltern in Koreatown lately? If so, you may have peeked into an open door or two and spotted what seems to be a massive new dinner and drinks spot called Terra Cotta coming soon.
Details are a bit fuzzy as to who, in fact, will be actually running the show at Terra Cotta, but there's nothing subtle about the space itself. You can tell the place will be gigantic just by traipsing past sometime, considering the construction team keeps the door open while they're working.
Right now the wide, tall room is basically gutted out completely, but soon enough it'll likely have booths, a bar, and all the accoutrement of an upscale dinner establishment looking to earn some of those key pre-show bucks.
Formerly The Novel Bar, the new Terra Cotta — at least based on this very nascent Facebook page — will be a primarily French restaurant but with a strong focus on drinks. That's backed up by an ABC request for a full bar as well.
As for the operators of the place? The listed name on city paperwork is one Eunjoo Lee, who through various channels seems to have a hand in several Koreatown restaurants including Klat and the only recently-opened Golden Pouch dimsum spot.
