There's something brewing in the long-awaited Go Get Em Tiger space in Los Feliz, and it has the strength to change an entire neighborhood.
Folks have been peeking in the windows and whispering to each other about the opening of Go Get Em Tiger in Los Feliz for months, but today all that speculation goes away. Right this very second, you can head over to Hollywood Boulevard for a cup of what might be the best coffee in the city, with a full food menu to match.
The opening of LA's next great coffee shop comes at a particular moment in the city, when shops are popping up everywhere working similar menus filled with roaster names like Heart and Four Barrel. At Go Get Em Tiger the way to stand out is with precision, both in finished product and design. The results, brightly lit and well designed, speak for themselves.

The menu
Step inside the wood-wrapped space and you'll find a small retail shelf for merchandise and take-home bags of 49th Parallel coffee, along with enough touches of green to give the room some life. There's a pastry display case right up front, with standing room along the counter for folks who like to chat with their barista.
Behind it all is a wide menu showing off the coffee creations from owners Charles Babinski and Kyle Glanville, both award-winning baristas who own a second Go Get Em Tiger in Larchmont as well as G&B Coffee at Grand Central Market. Food comes by way of longtime chef Ria Wilson, and includes breakfast staples as well as a rotation of seasonal items. And, soon enough, you'll also be able to grab an ice cream from McConnell's next door to boot.
The space you'll be spending most of your time, though, is right out on the large front patio, shaded from the sun by a ripening olive tree. That's where guests can sit on stools at round tables, enjoying the last pulls of summer while sipping on a latte from inside.
Go Get Em Tiger is now open in Los Feliz, keeping soft opening hours for now from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Eventually those should expand into 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. hours, each and every day.
