In a surprise to no one at all, Santa Monica will get another healthy restaurant in the form of Tocaya Organica’s third Los Angeles location. Toddrickallen spotted signage for the eatery at 507 Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica, which last housed the rather short-lived Aestus.
It will be quite the 180 for the space, as Tocaya Organica’s ethos of organic ingredients with a dedicated vegan menu is far from the wine-centric concept of the former restaurant. On offer will be a variety of salads, bowls, tacos, and wraps with customizable options meant to satisfy both vegetarians and carnivores alike.
It’s a quick expansion for the modern Mexican eatery, as Toca Madera’s healthy sister restaurant just opened its second location in Venice last year. Eater San Diego reported that a location will soon enter the Gaslamp District, and the website reveals plans for outlets in Hollywood and Westwood. That means it won’t be hard to find a branch of the restaurant pretty much anywhere in the Southland, which is great news if hip, health-centric eateries are your thing.
