The go-to Thai restaurant near LAX, Ayara Thai, is opening a spinoff pop-up restaurant, Ayara Lūk, this Saturday, January 7. “Lūk,” or child in Thai, is an appropriate name for the concept, as the menu will reflect the chefs’ experiences as first generation Thai-Americans. That means some signature dishes from the parent restaurant alongside contemporary takes on classic Thai fare like roasted duck flatbread with spicy hoisin, massamun oxtail curry, whole roasted branzino with Thai chili lime sauce, and khao soi with braised chicken.
It’s a smart move for the restaurateurs, as Ayara Lūk will open as Ayara Thai closes down for an anticipated four month renovation and expansion that is scheduled to begin in February 2017. As soon as Ayara Thai is back in business, Lūk will end its brief pop-up stint.
Ayara Lūk will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
