Even though Twin Peaks ended last month, Showtime is still eager to serve fans more coffee and cherry pie. Starting today, the show’s notorious Double R Diner pop-up runs for one week at the former Johnny Rocket’s space on Melrose.
First reported by LA Magazine, the pop-up will serve food, and sell merchandise from the show, including costumes, collectibles, and coffee from the show’s creator. David Lynch’s launched his signature line of beans in 2013. It appears that the pop-up staff will be dressed as Twin Peaks characters, and undoubtedly fans will do the same.
Lynch’s Festival of Disruption just ended this weekend, with a lineup full of music, talks, and screenings at the Ace Hotel.
The show first aired on ABC in 1990 for two seasons, then on Showtime for 18 episodes this year. This isn’t the first Double R Diner pop-up for the TV series, the show created a pop-up at SXSW, and other cities earlier this year.
The pop-up runs from October 16 to October 22, and is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m daily.
