LA’s Famous Pink’s Hot Dogs Has Turned Dodger Blue for the World Series

Longstanding Los Angeles restaurant icon Pink’s Hot Dogs is getting in on the Dodgers World Series craze, and not just with a one-off celebratory menu creation. No, the restaurant is going all-in on rooting for the hometown team, even painting their beloved stand blue, changing out some signs, and giving everyone who works there a very colorful new look.

Pink’s showed off its new look yesterday on social media, tweeting out a wide shot of the stand under the banner “Pink’s is now Dodger blue!!!” The shot predictably showed a long line of waiting customers out front, but peeking through the crowd it’s easy to see the actual new blue paint job striping the building beneath the countertops. Ownership even went so far as to cover up the original logo on the sign with a new, more color-appropriate version. Even the umbrellas in the back and the floors have been swapped out to reflect the new blue tradition,.

What’s more, Pink’s is also selling t-shirts emblazoned with the Pink’s logo and words of encouragement for the Dodgers, as well as Dodger blue caps with pink LA logos on the front. That’s to go along with the Pink’s Dodger-appropriate Blue’s dog, which involves a long all-beef hot dog, mustard, onions, chili, cheese, and bacon. Expect the new look to last at least through the conclusion of the best-of-seven World Series, which kicks off tomorrow night. Hey, it’s no Trois Mec, but a Dodger-friendly meal at one of LA’s longest-running restaurants is certainly one way to support the Boys in Blue.
