The crisp white tablecloths are set and the kitchen is up and running at Anatra, the Fashion District newcomer by chef Peyman Rasi. The Downtown corner eatery officially opens for dinner tomorrow, and plans to offer something decidedly different for the neighborhood.

Whereas most of what surrounds Anatra is decidedly casual — Sonoratown, Sushi Nabeeya, a coffee spot — Rasi and company are going for a refined aesthetic, mixed with prices that keep the neighborhood in mind. There’s only one item over the $35 mark on the whole dinner menu, which offers options like sous vide duck breast, foie gras, and lobster.

As for drinks, expect beer and wine only, with most wine pours by the glass hovering around $10 to $12. That’s a fair bit cheaper than what’s available at other Downtown destinations also serving foie gras, and should play well with the increasingly moneyed locals occupying lofts and apartment spaces in nearby South Park. The opening dinner menu is below.
