A new season of KCET’s award-winning series The Migrant Kitchen is launching next month, and now comes the first official trailer for the season. Just as in last year’s groundbreaking docu-series filmed with the Life & Thyme team, this season will explore the intersection of food and culture in the city of Los Angeles.
There are a lot of familiar faces and voices in the trailer for this season’s Migrant Kitchen, which launches next month. First among them is Nakul Mahendro, co-owner of Downtown Indian destination Badmaash. Wes Avila of Guerrilla Tacos also makes a showing while discussing authenticity in his recipes, with nods to Ray Garcia of Broken Spanish, Bryant Ng of Cassia, and many more.
Last season’s run of The Migrant Kitchen hit on a lot of different themes, from family to community to the struggles of living the kitchen lifestyle. It was good enough to earn the Life & Thyme team an Emmy win, which makes this season’s return all the more exciting. Check out the trailer for this upcoming run below, then tune in for the season premiere on November 8.
