In adorable mashup news, Sanrio’s beloved lazy egg character, gudetama, is taking over all nine locations of Curry House from mid-October to the end of 2017. That means the restaurant chain that first opened in Little Tokyo in 1983 that currently boasts restaurants from Cupertino down to Irvine will offer branded collectibles along with a prix-fixe menu.

The $29 special is an unsurprisingly egg-heavy menu that includes corn soup, custard pudding, salad with hard boiled egg, and (presumably sunny side egg-topped) keema curry. Sounds like a pretty good deal all around.
This isn’t the first time that Sanrio has collaborated with Los Angeles restaurants, with Plan Check offering numerous specials featuring Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, Chococat, and even the lovable lazy egg. The Curry House partnership seems like an even more fitting move, and is sure to elicit plenty of squeals for cuteness overload.
