Westside hit Lodge Bread Company is never one for slowing down. The place has continually expanded its operational capabilities since first coming online a few years back, and now ownership is jumping into an entirely new space altogether, this time up in the Valley.

Lodge Bread Co. confirmed to Eater that they will indeed be landing a second location in Woodland Hills of all places. The space will be similarly small to their first iteration down on Washington Boulevard, totaling up to around 1,100 square feet of baking and retail space. The team first let the news fly in a couple of peekaboo photographs posted to Instagram nearly a week ago.

Though James Beard semifinalists Alex Phaneuf and Or Amsalam declined to offer a specific address for their new venture, they tell Eater it will land early next year near De Soto and Ventura Boulevard. By the looks of it that means the Woodland Hills Village shopping complex, just next door to the famous samosa-selling Chevron and not far from Spanish cafe Gasolina.

hi Woodland Hills, this will soon be your very own Lodge Bread Company #livefreeandbake #lodgebread

As for what to expect inside, Phaneuf says the restaurant will have room for a toast bar, pastries, sandwiches, shakshuka (of course), pan pizzas, and breads of course. There will also be room both inside and out to dine, though with construction still heavily underway the whole thing might not be fully realized until sometime in early spring 2018.
