The Tony Yanow-backed Artisanal Brewers Collective is on the move again, this time to Eagle Rock. The ABC team is taking over The Black Boar, a low key Colorado Avenue bar with an affinity for British Beer.

The Black Boar is a quiet, woodsy sort of bar known mostly to the local crowd. That makes it a perfect target for the ABC team, which has been snatching up exactly those kinds of places all over town lately, along with warehouse spots and one big Downtown acquisition. There’s the Pasadena space, an incoming West Adams restaurant, some stuff in the Valley, and The Stalking Horse, a new British pub that recently opened in West LA.

Reps for Yanow say that, unlike Beelman’s in Downtown, there are no plans currently to change the name, design, or concept for the Eagle Rock bar favorite. That means no expansion into vegan food or anything else, but likely a craft beer upgrade on the taps.
