Roberta’s arrives
Los Angeles now has an official opening date for the truncated pizza pop-up by the Roberta’s team out of Brooklyn. Like the previous effort, a group of pizzamakers from the New York City shop will be on hand turning out individual blistered pies from an oven outside, right next door to Hayden.
The pop-up starts on December 6 and runs through December 23 (Wednesday through Sunday only), with hours from noon to 9 p.m. After that, fans will just have to wait for the official restaurant opening in 2018.
Rustic Canyon x State Bird Provisions
The owners of SF’s Michelin-starred State Bird Provisions are coming to town, cooking up a meal with the Rustic Canyon crew on Wednesday, December 6. Tickets are $125 a head for the event, and include a signed copy of the SF restaurant’s new cookbook.
More Echo Park coffee
Arts District takeaway stand Shreebs Coffee is moving into a more permanent location, landing along a small side street in Echo Park. The jump puts them at 1755 Glendale Boulevard, just off Aaron Street in a busy neighborhood that’s already home to plenty of caffeine.
Corporation for the people
LA Times has the details on what to love about Corporation Food Hall in Downtown. The compact multi-concept space offers food from several different vendors, meaning there’s always something colorful (and hopefully delicious) to enjoy.
Going along for the ride
According to LA Weekly, Magic Mountain is looking to up its food offerings. The Six Flags amusement park has been slowly upgrading its menus across the board, with hopes of luring in a whole new generation of conscious diners across the Southland.
Bollywood Bites blows up
Westwood’s Bollywood Bites is expanding, opening up in some familiar territory in Sherman Oaks. The former Ramen Room on Ventura Boulevard now has signage up showing the new tenant, with a projected opening early next year.
Party in Hollywood
There’s another fun new food event happening in Hollywood this weekend, as Feastown at Eastown returns. This iteration will include names like Mid-East Tacos, the modern offshoot of Glendale legend Mini Kabob.
