Taiwanese-bakery cafe giant 85°C Bakery has accelerated plans for Southern California. Starting in October, the company opened shops in Claremont, South Gate, and Valencia. They now have four more locations expected in Azuza, Northridge, Rancho Cucamonga, and Tustin by early January.
Owner Cheng-Hsueh Wu opened 85°C’s Irvine location in 2008, only five years after their first Taipei location in 2003. To celebrate their upcoming ten-year U.S. anniversary, the Irvine location will close for a few weeks in 2018 for a quick upgrade. There are also plans to open a second Irvine location in 2018.
When this batch of openings are complete, this brings a total of 22 locations to Southern California. The company recently opened locations in Washington state and Texas. Information about the current slate of openings are listed below:
Azusa opens their doors this Friday, December 8 at 1119 E. Alosta Avenue.
Northridge will open just before Christmas on December 22 at 9046 Tampa Avenue. Rancho Cucamonga on December 29 at 11767 E Foothill Blvd and Tustin in early 2018 at 1100 Irvine Blvd.
