There is seemingly no stopping the influx of new concepts to greater Los Angeles this year, including one particularly notable option just discovered for Beverly Hills. Through a bit of digging, it seems certain that Tatel, the famed European club/restaurant brand backed by some heavy-hitter celebrities, is coming to Beverly Hills. Celebrities such as former Laker Pau Gasol, tennis star Rafael Nadal, and singer Enrique Iglesias are among the investors.
If you’ve ever spent any time in Madrid, there’s a high probability that you’ve heard of Tatel. The place is among the most popular destinations in that Spanish city, despite having only opened about a year ago. Since then there have been plans to massively expand the franchise, including a highly anticipated opening soon down in Miami.
And now comes Los Angeles, with plans to jump right onto Canon Drive. The address is actually a familiar one: the former Nic’s Beverly Hills, a well-known martini den that just shuttered after a nearly two decade run. This ABC license shows off the new tenant, with some business paperwork that traces back to the Tatel team in Miami.
Don’t expect anything imminent though. Reached for comment, reps for Tatel declined to discuss the Los Angeles announcement, noting instead that they’re busy with the Miami opening in a few weeks, and have plans to drop a location in Ibiza right after that. Soon though you’ll be able to mix it up in one of the city’s newest hotspots, right in the thick of Beverly Hills.
