Bacari Wines and Dines on Glendale's Hottest Block

A massive upgrade for Glendale’s wine game

A powerful new wine contender comes to Glendale next week, as Bacari GDL lands along the reborn restaurant strip attached to the Americana at Brand. It’s some pretty prime real estate given the bevy of concepts up and running nearby, and should help the growing Bacari brand to reach an entirely new audience with their wine-focused menus.

The sister sites for Bacari GDL — those would be Bacari PDR out by the ocean, and the original Bacaro LA in University Village — offer a nice look at what to expect with this latest iteration. That means a combo of Italian and Mediterranean flavors, from a new wood-fired oven to pasta and small plates, along with comfort food favorites like their open-faced burger and macaroni and cheese. You’ll also find a full bar and of course, plenty of vino.

Owners Robert and Danny Kronfli, and executive chef/owner Lior Hillel have been softly serving for the past few days, but will button up the space for a final bit of touch-up and ultimate reveal on February 15. That’s when guests will officially be able to meander through the dim, inviting space along one of the greater Los Angeles’s busiest new restaurant blocks.
