A new sign posted to the Hollywood Boulevard location of Yuca’s in Los Feliz offers some distressing news: The award-winning restaurant will be out by April 22.

The Hollywood location of Yuca’s, an offshoot of their Hillhurst original, has been in business for more than a decade. Locals have long loved the second space as a standalone extension of the James Beard Award-winning enterprise, with seating and an expanded menu that included breakfast burritos.

The posted note on the building reads:

Keaton Violet

Stopping in to the original location yesterday, Eater confirmed from the Yuca’s team that the Hollywood outpost’s landlord has decided not to give ownership a new lease. It’s unclear what will become of the building instead, but with big-name newcomers hitting the block recently like Kismet, it’s easy to assume they could get more money elsewhere.

As for a new, different space, there are hopeful plans to stay in the neighborhood but nothing concrete just yet. Want in on one last run at the Hollywood spot? You’ve got until the near end of next month.
