As things continue to heat up inside the renovated Westfield Century City mall, one intriguing name has come to the forefront: Randy’s Donuts. Yep, the massively iconic Inglewood shop — known for its LAX-adjacent rooftop doughnut sculpture — is heading for the heart of the city.
The filing paperwork for work on an upcoming new Randy’s Donuts was found on permit site BuildZoom, and while it doesn’t give away too many details on the space an email in to the doughnut makers confirms the expansion coming later this summer. And, just to make things official, Westfield Century City went ahead and made mention of their new tenant over on Facebook last week.
The move to bring in legendary LA names like Randy’s Donuts is a smart one for the Westfield property, which has been bugged by ongoing construction for many months now. During that time most of the dining vendors moved on completely, though in the interim a handful of new and exciting names have either opened or are coming along nicely. That includes Eataly, which is still looking somewhat raw inside but is hoping for a late 2017 debut. As for Randy’s Donuts, expect an opening in summer.
