A mouth-watering ramen video, just in time for lunch

Century City’s beautiful Hinoki + The Bird continues to fire on all cylinders, years after coming online at the base of the ritzy The Century condominium tower. The wood-lined, patio-loving space is a boon for the area, with executive chef Brandon Kida turning out fine dining Japanese flavors with an American comfort food twist.

Take for example the restaurant’s butter lobster ramen. Not only is the fresh crustacean poached in plentiful butter, but the noodles are made fresh on site. The whole bowl is filled near to the brim with a rich seafood broth, then topped with herbs and sesame seeds and a squeeze of lime for good measure.

Check out the video above for all the in-process cooking action, from lobster breakdown to noodle making. The $28 dish is available for both lunch and dinner at the restaurant.
