Inside Luchini, the Late-Night Pizzeria of Your Hollywood Dreams

Tao’s by-the-slice pizza joint slings until 3 a.m.

Pizza lovers and late night diners, rejoice! Tao Group’s first pizza by-the-slice joint, Luchini, finally opened a few weeks ago in the Dream Hotel complex. It’s a fitting addition to the new Hollywood ecosystem that also includes Avenue and glitzy clubstaurants Tao and Beauty & Essex.

The expansive eatery features a full bar and counter displaying the pizzas on offer, which basically means it’s a one-stop-shop for all your late night needs. As for design, exposed wood beams, mosaic tiles, and baroque-inspired wallpaper with Biggie and Brooklyn accents makes it all feel very much like a New York export.

That is, until you get to the menu. In addition to Napoleon and Sicilian-style slices, you’ll also find dishes friendly to non-meat eating Angelenos. So is there avocado toast? Of course there is. Also on the menu is a rotating selection of salads, a burger, and pork ribs alla nonna. It’s important to note here that while Alvin Cailan was brought on brought on to initially consult on the menu, Tao corporate executive chef Marc Marone has stepped in to make some big changes.

Luchini is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
