Fresh off getting his very own Hollywood Walk of Fame star, chef/restaurateur Wolfgang Puck is flying high. He’ll also be flying first class (presumably) to London soon for a three-day pop up of his iconic Beverly Hills restaurant Spago.
According to Bloomberg, the limited-time run will go down this summer inside Puck’s exclusive steakhouse CUT at 45 Park Lane. The June dates are meant to be a celebration of all things Puck through time, which means they’ll be serving some of the most iconic Spago dishes around. Yes, that means his signature smoked salmon pizza.
The move to bring a temporary Spago to London is an interesting one, and comes at a unique time for Puck as he continues to expand his repertoire (and encourage those beneath him to do the same) with new concepts like his exclusive Experience tasting menu dinners here in Los Angeles.
Puck also told Eater’s own Upsell podcast a couple of weeks back that he craves newness and relevancy, and will often flip entire concepts on their head to make sure things stay fresh. That’s not to say you can’t still enjoy that salmon pizza at any of the Spago locations worldwide (including Istanbul, Hawaii, and Singapore), but the point is Puck wants to keep pushing his own personal culinary boundaries and business locations. And, unlike Rene Redzepi’s Noma pop up in Tulum, Mexico, this won’t be a super high-priced pre-ticketed event; Puck will be selling dishes a la carte, so all you’ve go to do is show up.
