Disneyland’s New Lightsaber Churros Will Make You a Snack Jedi (or Sith)

Try not to be seduced by the Dark side

As if Disneyland wasn’t already cutesy enough, now comes word that the Southern California theme park of dreams is selling colored lightsaber churros from a stall inside the park. The blue and red confections make for perfect dessert dueling with friends, says Popsugar — and of course they’re right on par with Disney’s smart brand promotion.

So what makes these churros different than the regular ones you probably grew up enjoying at Disneyland? Though these churros don’t have any cinnamon on them, just sugar, fans can pick between the classic red and blue colors. Sadly, those lightsaber sleeves aren’t available anymore as they were part of a special Disney’s Hollywood Studios event, which means you can now only get them with a piece of parchment paper.

The food stunt seems to have been initially an on-the-sly nod to May the 4th (unofficial Star Wars Day), but has been picking up tons of steam on social media ever since. Disney’s PR team is saying that the churros will be available at Tomorrowland outside Star Tours until the end of May, or until supplies last. So if you’re that crazed for colored churros, get to the cart right outside Star Tours sooner rather than later.

Give yourself to the dark side. It is the only way... And by dark side I mean churros. Give yourself to churros it is the only way.
