After over a year since announcing its third location, KazuNori has finally opened its doors in Santa Monica as of last Thursday. The hand roll specialist spawned from the Sugarfish empire has been steadily operating in Downtown and Westwood for several years now, and locals have long awaited the westward expansion to Santa Monica.
Expect the same deal as the first two locations: set menus of three-to-six nicely warmed hand rolls that typically conclude with a lobster or signature blue crab hand roll. With a very good quality-to-price ratio and the addition of beer and soju, this casual sushi bar should be very welcome addition to Downtown Santa Monica, even if the location at 120 Broadway between Ocean and 2nd Ave is a bottleneck of traffic congestion.
KazuNori is open Monday to Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.
