Silver Lake German restaurant Berlin Currywurst has apparently closed near Sunset Junction, making room for a noodle restaurant coming later this summer. A check of the sausage shop’s website now lists only their Grand Central Market location for Los Angeles, along with another in New York City, though there is no official post up about the shutter in Silver Lake. The Silver Lake location first opened in 2011, with another coming and going in Hollywood along the way.

In its Eastside place will come We Have Noodles, a Smorgasburg stalwart that has been teasing a new location for some time. By way of example, the pop-up’s Instagram page already mentions a new location coming to Silver Lake this summer, though without a specific address. The biggest giveaway that We Have Noodles has officially taken over? The below sandwich board sign sitting open in the (now former) Berlin Currywurst space.

Eater reached out to both Berlin Currywurst and We Have Noodles owner Darren Sayphraraj — a Zagat 30 Under 30 winner this year — but so far hasn’t heard back to confirm on timing and all.
