Malibu Burger Co. will finally open its doors today in Malibu Village, after a year of delay. Musician and producer Cisco Adler is behind this burger joint featuring local ingredients and healthy alternatives for Malibu locals and tourists alike.

Doors will open at 11 a.m. with menu items ordered in steps. First, choose a burger or a bowl, and then pick a protein including grass-fed beef, Jidori chicken breast, and vegan patty or market fresh fish. Next add a cheese preference and then toppings like house made ketchup, MBC spread or extra seasonal offerings.

For sides, Kennebec French fries, potato salad and fried pickles are all up for grabs. Finish it off with a milkshake or enjoy a rotating selection of local craft beer and wine selected by Cisco Adler’s brother Nic (who runs the food programs for Coachella). Additionally, the eatery is dog friendly with a “bowser bowl” option for furry friends.

The casual and beachy atmosphere was created by Malibu native Matt Winter, known for Venice’s Gjusta and Arts District’s, Manuela. To start, hours of operation will be Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., which is a bonus since late night food options in Malibu are scarce.
