Glendale’s got its groove back, with a new mellow bar perched right along its western edge that’s ideal for a casual evening out. It’s called The San Fernando, and it opens for business on Wednesday, July 5.

The San Fernando is the work of owners Daniel Espinosa, Uwe Korak, and Scott Gonnering, a trio of friends who came together to purchase the former Big Fish along San Fernando Road last year. Together they’ve created an inviting new place for cocktails and bar food including burgers and sandwiches, with bartender Bryan Byrnes running the show. The full opening cocktail menu is below.

Hours for The San Fernando run 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, while the kitchen offers bar food from 11 a.m. to midnight. Weekday happy hour runs 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes $6 well drinks and food.
