Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake is already stacked with restaurant possibilities, but that doesn’t mean locals aren’t ready to slurp down some noodles. Specifically We Have Noodles, a new shop opening in the former Berlin Currywurst space on September 1.
We Have Noodles is ultimate effort of chef Darren Sayphraraj, who has been popping up weekends at Smorgasburg in Downtown. Now Sayphraraj will have his own shop to oversee, complete with some light indoor seating and a small side patio. It’ll be counter-service only up front, with lunch and dinner only to start. Brunch will come later, as will a proposed collection of pop-up dinners from chefs around the world — particularly New York City, where Sayphraraj worked at places like The Nomad and The Modern.

The We Have Noodles menu is a tight collection of pan-Asian favorites, from pho to khao soi to ramen, with some room for things like fried chicken and and black truffle dumplings as well. Beer and wine will be available too; the full opening menu is below.
Expect a September 1 opening for the 800-square-foot We Have Noodles in Silver Lake, with hours from lunch through dinner to start.
