Compartes goes to extreme lengths to reinvent the candy store experience, and their latest opening in the Westfield Century City might be the brand’s most over-the-top yet. Owner Jonathan Grahm tapped lauded interior designer Kelly Wearstler to build out the colorful chocolatier’s new flagship location that opened in early August.

Grahm and Wearstler designed every detail of the space, from the custom light fixtures to the brass etagere emblazoned with the Compartes' moniker. The arched-ceiling space sports rich green walls, Italian marble, and plenty of antique brass.

Not only does the modern-day Emerald City display Grahm’s gorgeous signature chocolate bars and other confections, but it also offers a variety of chocolatey beverages. There’s frozen hot chocolate served from brass machines, or for a real sugar bomb, there’s chocolate on tap from brass faucets embedded in Italian marble.
