There’s a new casual home for watching sports and drinking beer in Woodland Hills: Geezer’s Public House. Though the name doesn’t necessarily inspire the sort of youthful vigor and bright trends of new restaurants in the core of Los Angeles, there’s still something satisfying about burgers, beer, and a game on in the background.

Geezer’s is the work of Hospitality Unlimited, which operates a tight group of projects like Cocina Condesa and The Nickel Mine out in Santa Monica. Much the same as those places, the plan with Geezer’s is to offer affordable casual fare (in this case with a straight pub focus) to locals, with a patio, full bar, and TVs to boot. Woodland Hills native Andrew Munro oversees the drinks side of the equation, with cocktails, shots, and craft beer available. As for food, expect everything from fried chicken to steak frites to potato skin appetizers with chorizo. The full opening menu is below.

Geezer’s Public House opened last week, just in time for the NFL season. Hours are Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., with an 11:30 a.m. start on Saturdays and a 9:30 a.m. kickoff on Sundays. Happy hour runs Sunday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with $4 beers and cocktails.
