Brentwood’s Seven-Year-Old Bar Toscana Gets a Refresh With New Look and Menu

What to expect from one of Brentwood’s most casual mainstays

Brentwood’s Bar Toscana has come out of a recent refresh looking nicer than ever, thanks to new furniture and a redone menu. The updated vibe should help the place compete with a surprising uptick in nearby dining options, from much-lauded Pizzana to the soon-to-be-operational Winston Pies.

The seven-year-old Bar Toscana now includes deep red rounded chairs, a tan leather banquette at the back, and dark woods throughout. The pre-existing brick wall still stands, as do the wide windows to the outside and the funky, curvy back bar.

On the food side, chef Justino Quirino remodeled the menu to include a heavy dose of small plates and bar bites, plus pizza of course. There’s lasagnetta, crudos, bar sliders, and a small dessert menu now, along with cocktails and Italian wines. Bar Toscana is open daily from 5:30 p.m. until late.
