The Valley’s casual restaurant scene grows by one today, with the announcement that Plan Check founder Terry Heller’s rotisserie chicken restaurant Wild & Free has arrived. The fast casual operation sits on Van Nuys Boulevard, ready for the oncoming lunch and dinner crowds.

Wild & Free is Heller’s first foray into the rotisserie market, selling quarters and halves with sides to go along with salads, sandwiches, and more. The tight menu is predictably poultry-focused, using only Mary’s chicken and offering four different kind of spice rubs for the finished product. Diners can also go completely vegetarian with salads and sides with Beyond Meat, a plant-based chicken alternative, for a separate kind of meal. The opening menu is below.

The Wild & Free space is simple but clean, with loads of natural light, wood chairs, and leafy details throughout. There’s also a small patio out front, as well as a grab-and-go section for quick lunch pulls. Wild & Free opens today, keeping hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
