Joe & The Juice, a Danish-born coffee shop with nearly 200 locations worldwide, opened its first LA outlet this weekend along Melrose between Urth Cafe and E.P. & L.P. The urban space marked by black walls, polished concrete floors, and industrial accents should become a haven for the cool kid set looking for a variety of afternoon pick-me-ups.

On the menu is just about everything one needs to fuel coffee shop warriors, but with a healthy living bent. Select from a huge range of juices with options like the turmeric and black pepper-laced Guardian to the broccoli-and-ginger Brock ‘N’ Roll. There’s also a smattering of shakes, shots, flatbread sandwiches, espresso drinks, and parfaits.

There’s little doubt the hip neighborhood will embrace the edgy new coffee shop with indoor/outdoor vibes. Joe & The Juice is now open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
