Long Beach shakeups

Looks like a switcheroo is underway in Long Beach, as local blog LongBeachize is on the case of the changing storefront at Working Class Kitchen. The popular butcher shop backed by the Michael’s and Chianina team is looking for a new location, while the inbound Commodity coffee and Caffeinated Kitchen (the latter is a vegan doughnut spot) have taken over.

Most anticipated beer

FoodGPS shares their most anticipated upcoming breweries for 2018, including Downtown’s Modern Times and the in-process Highland Park Brewery in Chinatown.

Weed pizza, kind of

D’Amore Pizza is jumping on the legalization bandwagon with a new “weed” pizza. It’s really just a misshapen pie laced with lots of basil to look like a leaf. It’s a secret menu item only at the West Third location for now, and costs $25.

Bar Keeper keeps up

Silver Lake’s Bar Keeper is officially moving over to 614 N. Hoover Street, snagging some 1,400 square feet of retail space for all of its bar trinkets and takeaway bottles.

Dots for Pasadena

The cutesy new Dots Cafe is now open at 3819 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, serving up a variety of pastries and coffee to the Eastern Pasadena crowd.

Michael’s at the bar

There’s a new Michael’s bar food menu by Miles Thompson debuting next Tuesday, with $8 wines by the glass, $10 pork ribs, a $13 smash burger, and more. The full menu is below.
