Eat near LAX

The Los Angeles Airport Marriott is among the better overnight destinations for travelers staying out by LAX, and now it comes with a redefined dining option as well. The former Champions Bar & Grill has been turned into Hangar 18, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Though there are still televisions and a wide bar for those who need such things, the place has also upgraded its menu with options like organic quinoa, cubano sandwiches, and craft beer.

Bell Street anew

Central Coast restaurant hit Bell Street Farm is in new hands, thanks to new owners Daisy and Greg Ryan. The Santa Ynez Valley restaurant will turn towards an all-day cafe with a French backbone, and it’s all slated to be ready by sometime this spring.

Two years at Kali

Kevin Meehan and Drew Langley are celebrating two years of Kali, their finer dining Melrose restaurant around the corner from Larchmont. The upscale mainstay has become a hit in the neighborhood, and drawn plenty of well-deserved accolades along the way.

Mardi Gras with Dominique

Dominique Ansel is hosting a Mardi Gras-inspired crab boil on Tuesday, February 13 at The Grove. Expect a giant feast with seafood poured right onto the table, as well as a live band, cocktails, and beignets for dessert.

No more Partido

With Barcade coming in quick to Highland Park, it’s become the end of the line for Partido. The Filipino fusion spot is looking for permanent digs elsewhere, as the El Arco Iris space gets handed over this week.

Noodles in Highland Park

Woon Kitchen is popping up at ETA in Highland Park, offering noodles, Tsingtao drinks, and bao buns for all. The party goes down until midnight on Thursday, February 1.
