A Chic New Coffee Lounge Opens Today in West Hollywood

Despite the proliferation of coffee bars all over greater Los Angeles, there are still pockets of dense concentration and, conversely, areas of emptiness yet to be given the shop they deserve. The latter has been true for the eastern edges of West Hollywood for some time, but that’s all about to change with today’s arrival of Madison & Park Coffee.

The Santa Monica Boulevard shop is as clean as they come, working a tall, sunny room to white-walled perfection. The entire front of the place is set up more like a lounge than any workaday coffee bar, with couches, soft chairs, and low, round tables to enjoy. There’s even a small nook off to one side, next to a tall shelf filled with Madison & Park merchandise and branded bags of coffee beans roasted specifically for the shop by a friend in the San Gabriel Valley.

The rest of the space is anchored by a three-quarter marble bar to watch shots get pulled, and a long communal table in the back for getting work done. Madison & Park Coffee will offer free wifi to go along with its espresso drinks, drip coffee, and Cake Monkey pastries. The shop officially opens today, keeping limited hours this week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expect a grand opening party on Saturday.
