Whether in need of celebration or solace from the teeth clencher that was Super Bowl 2018, Prime Pizza’s second location in Little Tokyo has the bases covered with a crazy $1 Philly pork sandwich deal in honor of the Eagles’ victory. Co-owner James Starr, who describes himself as “not much of an Eagles fan, but fervently anti-Brady and anti-Belichick” came up with the deal after being very pleased with the outcome of yesterday’s game.
While Philadelphia is best know for its cheesesteak, the other namesake sandwich using the other white meat is built with roasted pork loin, sharp provolone, hot cherry peppers, and beef jus. This one comes by way of the restaurant group’s culinary lead Noah Galuten.
Prime Pizza Little Tokyo opened its red and white checker cloth-adorned space in November of 2017, three years after debuting the original Fairfax location.
The deal is available today for dine-in only, with a one sandwich per person limit.
