International hospitality company sbe has refocused on the LA branch of nightlife brand Hyde, undergoing a re-concepting and several month remodel to refresh the three-and-a-half-year-old Sunset Boulevard hotspot. The rebrand goes so far as to drop the former “Kitchen & Cocktails” component of the name, simply calling the lounge Hyde Sunset.
While the original layout was designed as a supperclub where guests first dine before the evening transitioned into more of a lounge, the new interior puts nightlife first. That means booths that are redesigned with a VIP experience in mind, translating to better views of the space and a new customized table menu and booking system.
Although “kitchen” has been dropped from the moniker, dinner is still available, with service offered Wednesday through Saturday only. Think dishes like beef carpaccio, black truffle risotto, and s’mores.
Paired with a fresh interior design that includes photography by Terry O’Neil and a see-through photobooth in the very center of the club, and Hyde Sunset seems like the hottest new destination for debauchery in West Hollywood. Hyde Sunset reopens on March 2.
