Today is the day for No. 10 (as in, the number ten), the new Italian restaurant backed in large part by former Juventus soccer star Alessandro Del Piero. Expect Italian hits like pizza and pasta, right along the bustling West Third Street dining corridor.

First announced last fall, No. 10 has been quietly plugging away in construction mode at the base of a shiny office tower near the Beverly Center. Now the Spacecraft-designed property is ready for the full reveal, showing off loads of leather, a wide marble bar, and touches of greenery. Expect a dimly-lit, moody enclave with deep circular booths, a private wine room for intimate dining, and a loungey open-air patio up front.

As for the food, chefs Nick Parker from Las Vegas’ B&B Hospitality and Italian-born Fabio Ugoletti will handle kitchen duties together. The menu for the 4,100 square foot space is a mix of charcuterie boards and pasta starters to go along with pizzas and a handful of dedicated entrees like diver scallops with sunchokes ($34) or a $48 grilled veal chop.

No. 10 opens tonight, but will face some stiff competition along notoriously finicky West Third Street. Cal Mare recently debuted its coastal Italian menu around the corner at the Beverly Center, while celebrity-friendly Berri’s does pizza almost right next door and Gusto operates further down the street. Expect dinner hours only to start from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., with an extension to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
