South Bay mainstay El Segundo Brewing is expanding into a brick and mortar restaurant space in El Segundo proper soon, to be called The Slice and Pint.

As the name suggests, the new El Segundo project will focus on the company’s own slate of craft beer in addition to specialty pizzas. They’ve even been teasing a few early shots of the pies over on Instagram, and have reportedly signed on longtime pizza assassin Noel Brohner to oversee the food side of things.

As the El Segundo Observer first reported, ABC signage is already up for the property, though it will take some time for construction to die down. The space is actually being licensed for use as a brewpub, though reps for the company say there are no plans to brew there.

Update: A previous version of this story indicated that El Segundo would brew on site.

The expansion into a brick-and-mortar space is great news for somewhat sleepy El Segundo. The small South Bay enclave has been slowly adding to its restaurant lineup with a slew of projects in the past year, from the gorgeous Umi by Hamasaku to competing Roman-style pizza place Il Romanista.

As for official timing on The Slice and Pint, expect something mid-to-late summer.
