Pasta Sisters, the Mid-City strip mall restaurant specializing in affordable handmade pasta, opened its second location in Culver City on Sunday, March 4. The new location takes over the former Bucato space in the Helms Bakery complex, keeping that address a temple to all things noodles and sauce.
A Legaspi Courts Design revamp of the expansive 3,400-square-foot space has made the sophomore effort a massive upgrade from the original Pico location. Within the shiny new digs, expect both table and bar seating, two outdoor patios, and nearly 90 seats. Add on free parking, and the new restaurant should quickly become an easy any-night-of-the-week-type spot.
The family-run business has also added a slew of new dishes to the Culver City outlet. While the heart of the menu still relies on the customizable pasta and sauce combinations, Pasta Sisters Culver City has added spezzatino with polenta (beef stew), chicken scaloppine, a mortadella sandwich, and crostone. Even better? There is now beer and wine to wash it all down.
