LA’s in the midst of a bit of an ice cream boom, and the newest shop comes all the way from London. Four Winters arrives in West Third Street in late June, pending permits and approvals. The London-based ice cream shop creates custom flavors by transforming fresh ingredients into a liquid nitrogen scoop.
The international scope of Four Winters is vast, with three London locations, two in Saudi Arabia, one in Jordan, and one in Egypt. The Los Angeles store is the first in North America continent, and takes over a former clothing shop.
The company made its name by making custom order ice cream from -196 degree liquid nitrogen, where fresh ingredients are flash frozen into a liquid base. The flavors plans are simple: Four Winters uses the seasons of the year for inspiration. The company will face some competition with local ice cream shops like, Smitten, Sub Zero Ice Cream, and Creamistry.
Founded in 2014, Four Winters opened its first London shop in 2016 with chairman Omar Alkhawaja and CEO Zeid Zabian at the helm.
