There’s a new Koreatown breakfast destination to know about: The Potato Sack. The casual newcomer is opening for the first time today along 8th Street.

The Potato Sack’s menu is filled with cross-cultural favorites, from Southern-style hashbrowns and Denver omelettes to rice bowls with sunny-side-up eggs and bacon. Of course there’s going to be an $8 breakfast burrito, $10 eggs benedict, $6 avocado toast, and $7 breakfast sandwich as well, plus pancakes and french toast for those in need of something sweeter.

As for the space, expect a small, sunny storefront inside the 8th Street Plaza, complete with a little bit of greenery and long banquette seating for groups. Hours for The Potato Sack run 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. An official opening party is slated for May 15.
