Burger Show

Alvin Cailan’s excellent series The Burger Show comes to Los Angeles for season two. The Eggslut co-founder spends his time cruising the streets of L.A., talking to everyone from Roy Choi (outside of Tommy’s, of course) to the guys who keep The Apple Pan running after all these years. The full series drops next Tuesday, but there’s a trailer already up online.

The Emporium

The Houston brothers are at it again, opening up a new Hollywood project called Madame Siam Sideshow Emporium. UrbanDaddy has the full scoop on the place, an underground cocktail den complete with brick walls, lush seating, and low lights. 6533 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood.

Bento making

Japan House Los Angeles is hosting a day of bento-making in Hollywood. The Saturday, June 16 workshop lasts three hours and runs $45 a head, or $70 with a take-home bento box to keep.

Otium grills

Chef Tim Hollingsworth is hosting a barbecue class on Sunday with the help of Traeger Grills. The demo will cover things like tri-tip and pulled pork, and will feature drinks from Golden Road and Whistle Pig whiskey. Tickets are $150 per person.

Providence party

Celebrated restaurant Providence is turning 13 this year, and to keep the party going chef Michael Cimarusti and crew are offering a four-course tasting menu for $100 through the whole rest of the month.
