Burgers are back

The Burgers Never Say Die crew is getting behind the stove again, popping up for one day only at Glendale Tap this Sunday, June 10. The plan is to start up around 1 p.m. when the bar opens and go until all 400 burgers are sold out. It’s the usual backyard menu, with $7 double cheeseburgers, chips, and drinks. The event is 21-and-up only (given that it’s at a bar) and cash only. 4227 San Fernando Road in Glendale.

Ojai beers news

The Artisanal Brewer’s Collective just picked up a well-known out of town property, snagging the rights to the shuttered East End Restaurant and Bar in Ojai. The plan is to build a new vegan and non-vegan menu, bring in some craft beer, and reopen this summer as the East End Pub. 914 E. Ojai Avenue.

New looks

Changes are afoot at Jitlada, the Thai Town staple that many people love. The restaurant will be closed today and tomorrow for some light retouching.

A new Busters

Dave & Buster’s is opening in Torrance on June 11. The adult party playground lands at the Del Amo Fashion Center and spans some 41,000 square feet, with hundreds of arcade games inside.

Pig party

OC option The Bling Pig Kitchen + Bar is expanding, opening up a second location at the Yorba Linda Town Center this fall. The new spot spans some 3,000 square feet, and will include the usual pork dishes as well as cocktails and craft beer. Expect room for 110 folks at a time, plus more out on the patio.

Flipping burgers

Sweetfin swims

Another day, another Sweetfin. This newest location lands along Abbot Kinney in Venice, and comes with a big opening party on Friday that even includes some swag.
