Today’s the day for Larchmont Bungalow Cafe. The casual upstart is soft open in Echo Park as of this very moment, hiding in plain sight basically right behind Cosa Buona.

Larchmont Bungalow’s new digs take advantage of some pretty prodigious patio space between Sunset Boulevard and Alvarado. Technically the property is part of the Mohawk Collective development but it feels a world away thanks to plenty of brick and olive greenery. The cooling inside space is filled with bouncing light from large mirrors along the back wall, plus rustic wood touches like exposed ceiling beams.

Larchmont Bungalow Cafe’s menu is a wide-ranging collection of egg dishes and pastries for breakfast, salads, sandwiches, and bowls for lunch, and larger protein plates for dinner. Chef Emanuel Hernandez is on to oversee things, having previously worked under the Larchmont Bungalow banner during its more tumultuous times over in Larchmont proper. There’s new ownership now to go along with the new location and look.

Larchmont Bungalow Cafe officially opens today, and will keep daily hours from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. moving forward.
