Big Chain Joe & The Juice Grows LA Footprint Along West Third

A number of other locations are also in the works

Copenhagen cafe Joe & The Juice opened its third location last week in the super central and hip Beverly Grove neighborhood. This new address puts the company just doors away from Gusto, across the street from Sweetgreen, and near to new London nitro ice cream shop Four Winters. The new daytime cafe officially opened on July 18.

And while the obvious coffee and juice drinks are on the menu, so are flatbread sandwiches, bowls, smoothies, and shakes. Otherwise look for lots of art and design inside, a nod to the company’s first location, which opened in 2002 in a Copenhagen interior design store. For all Southern California locations, LA artists and antique store buyers sourced all of the artwork, decor, and furniture, and LA artist Mr Brainwash painted over the billboard above the Third Street shop.

This location covers some 2,900 square feet of interior space and patio, and should be open by early August. There will be plenty of outlets and tables too, which is — like nearby Verve Coffee — certain to make the place a hotspot for laptop workers and meetings. As for the company overall, California expansion plans includes future locations for San Diego, Palo Alto, along with a staggering five more new LA shops in the next 12 months. Hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
