All-day cafe Larchmont Bungalow closed its embattled original location (yes, in Larchmont) last year, but is now on the comeback trail — and under completely new ownership. Starting next week they’ll be up and running at a new patio-centric location in Echo Park, right off Sunset Boulevard.

This new Larchmont Bungalow has been in the works for some time, opening as part of the redone retail property that straddles Sunset Boulevard and Alvarado. The former laundromat building changed its name to Mohawk Collective and now houses a Starbucks, Habit burger, a vegan cinnamon roll place, and other large-format, mostly corporate tenants. But the Bungalow location within manages to feel a world away, thanks to a wide, separate entrance off of Alvarado, just behind Cosa Buona, and a big, airy patio.

Though construction is still being finalized and some permitting is still to come, the space is otherwise ready to roll. Expect built-in olive trees, lots of soft lighting, a casual interior, and the same breakfast-through-dinner menu as at the original Larchmont Bungalow. There’s no official word on the full operating hours or the exact opening date, but expect something next week. In the meantime, the opening menu is below.
