It’s fairly common for DJs to make the leap into the food business. Moby made good on his commitment to animal rights by opening the vegan Little Pine in 2012. As of today, there’s another DJ/restauranteur jumping into the restaurant world, as Steve Aoki opens a delivery-only pizza service named Pizzaoki.

Every pizza starts with an herb-filled dough and sauce designed by Aoki’s mother, Mama Aoki or Chizuru Kobayashi. Pizzaoki’s pizza names come straight from his music career. The Mayhem pizza starts with that herb dough and boasts ten different toppings. Aoki’s record label Dim Mak isn’t on the menu, but a pizza with meat balls, pepperoni, and sausage is.

The restaurant world isn’t too far of a stretch for the Aoki family, as Steve Aoki’s father Hiroaki Aoki founded Benihana in 1963. Hiroaki passed away in 2008. Pizzaoki is a collaboration between Aoki and restaurant group Family Style Inc. The delivery-only model operates out of the central Cloud Kitchens space just north of USC. Cloud Kitchens also has tenants like Big Ants BBQ and Everytable that utilize a central kitchen and delivery-based model. There are four additional standalone Pizzaoki kitchens scattered throughout LA as well.

Pizzaoki is available through UberEats and Postmates from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 4 p.m. until 4 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
